Leading NANS Presidential candidate *Prince Miaphen* was on campus at the University of Jos, to sign his aspirant form amidst student leaders on the Plateau. The event was witnessed by the SUG President and the Speaker of the Parliament, who stood alongside the Dean of Students Affairs as he signed Prince Miaphen's Presidential nomination form.

The Dean took the opportunity to acknowledge Prince Miaphen's legacy and struggles in student unionism, noting that his efforts have contributed significantly to the University of Jos' prominent position in the student struggle. The Dean went a step further, endorsing Prince Miaphen as the sole and worthy candidate for NANS President from the University of Jos. He pledged to provide Prince Miaphen with all necessary support within the university's powers to ensure his success.

JOS KEKE RIDER CELEBRATES GOVERNOR MUTFWANG’S 60TH BIRTHDAY WITH FREE RIDES In a heartwarming gesture of appreciation, Bavuk Dokgak Ishaya, a tricycle (Keke) rider in Jos, marked Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s 60th birthday by offering free rides to commuters all day.   Motivated by the governor’s contributions to the transport sector, Bavuk said, “I have nothing else to give, so I filled my tank to offer free rides as my little way of appreciating him and getting people to pray for him.”  Adding a personal touch to his generosity, Bavuk revealed that he shares the same birth month as the governor, making the celebration even more special.   He also commended Mutfwang’s efforts in improving security, road infrastructure, and public transportation, noting that these developments have significantly benefited tricycle operators like himself.   #GovernorMutfwangAt60

Student Loan: NELFUND disburses monthly stipends to Nigerian students The monthly upkeep stipends is disbursed to 20,371 students from six tertiary institutions, with plans to extend to 55 more institutions within two weeks   August 6, 2024   The management of the  Nigerian Education Loan Fund  (NELFUND) has announced the payment of N20,000 monthly upkeep stipends to 20,371 students from six tertiary institutions across the country. According to a statement dated 5 August and signed by the agency’s Director of Finance and Accounts, Ibom Uche, the beneficiaries, who are students of Bayero University, Kano; Federal University, Dutsin-Ma; University of Ilorin; University of Benin; University of Ibadan and University of Maiduguri, have begun receiving upkeep stipends for the month of July.
