Two Officers Killed in Armed Attack Near New Government House, Jos
Tragedy struck in the Rayfield area of Jos last night as gunshots rang out around 8 p.m. near the New Government House Road in what has been described as a suspected kidnapping or armed robbery incident.

In the aftermath, it was confirmed that two police officers on duty in the area—Inspector Fatoye Femi and Inspector Dafur Dashit—lost their lives during the attack. Security operatives later arrested a suspect, identified as Auwal Ali, who was reportedly moving around the vicinity in a vehicle at the time.

The incident has left residents shaken, raising renewed concerns about security in the area. Authorities have assured the public that investigations are ongoing to bring those responsible to justice.
